My winter painting classes will be starting in January. I am looking forward to my repeat students and wish a warm welcome to new students.
My studio is just off the 101 and Shea. The classes are small, usually just four people (which provides generous individual attention).
There will be 2 sessions, each 6 weeks in length. Cost is $180.00 for a 6 week session.
1st session: Oil painting: Tuesday Mornings, January 12-February 16. 9:30 a.m. – 12:00.
Oil painting: Tuesday Afternoon, January 12-February 16. 1:00p.m. – 3:30.
Oil painting: Wednesday Morning, January 13-February 17. 9:30-12:00.
2nd session: Oil painting: Tuesday Mornings, February 23-March 30. 9:30 – 12:00
Oil painting: Tuesday Afternoon, February 23-March 30. 1:00 – 3:30.
Oil painting: Wednesday Morning, February 24-March 31. 9:30 – 12:00.
Class Description:
Fun and relaxed atmosphere with instruction on what the artist thinks, sees, and really paintings. You can work on your own with guidance; paint along with instructor’s step-by-step instruction; request specific demo’s; etc. During class, fundamental skills and techniques will be discussed and demonstrated, along with essential information on creating depth and realism, color mixing, values, composition, and affect of light on form. Handouts are provided for extra guidance, along with critiques.
When you sign up, I will send you a list of supplies (if you need one), along with directions to my place. If there is space in a class and you are only here intermittently through the winter you can still come to class.
