This is the perfect workshop for anyone who has put off the joy and thrill of learning to paint. Following the instructor’s step-by-step process, you will amaze yourself by completing a painting. This fun class is a great introduction to brush, canvas, and paint: while learning some basic painting tips and techniques. Most of all-- a confidence building experience. Handouts included.

Drawing.
June 18 & 19,Wednesday & Thursday, 10am. - 4pm. Bring a sack lunch. $175.00
Learn to draw what you see. The workshop will deal specifically with the fundamentals of drawing (shapes, proportion, values, perspective, design and composition). Understanding the principles of drawing and learning technical skills in using the pencil will provide a strong foundation in drawing. Enjoy demonstrations from the instructor as well as critiques and lots of encouragement. Information handouts included.
Supply List
:
2B, 4B (pencils), black felt tip pen, colored pencils. Any other drawing tool you would like to use. 11x14 or larger sketchbook or paper, eraser, drawing board (larger than paper size), sharpener or razor blade, table easel, clips to hold paper on board.

Oil Painting-Any Level.

"I’ve taken workshops all my life, and learned more today than in any of the other workshops", a frequently heard comment from Sharon’s students. Enjoy and learn from her informative presentation (handouts, examples, demonstrations) that is condensed and simplified: explaining just what the artist thinks, sees, and really paints. Fundamental skills and techniques will include color mixing, color perspective, values, affect of light on form, and composition. Options on what to paint will be offered. You will be amazed at the dramatic improvement in your paintings. Group/individual critiques.
Supply list:
Paints: Cadmium yellow medium, cadmium red light, alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue, white. Any others you would like. Brushes: 4 or 5 (a variety of sizes). Canvas: 11x14 or larger. Miscellaneous: Odorless turpentine, palette knife, paper towels, palette, can or jar (with a lid) for turpentine, table easel, ruler, masking tape, pencil.

Location: Ten miles south of Eau Claire. A great country studio. Specific directions will be mailed when you register.
