Meet Sharon

A native of Wisconsin, Sharon received her BFA and K-12 teaching certificate from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 1977. Before moving to Phoenix in 1992, she taught 2 years in the Art and Design Department at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. For the past 30 years she has conducted classes and workshops in Wisconsin, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Sharon’s diligent attention to detail, bold use of color, versatility of subject and mature sense of design, have won her many awards, including those from the American Artist and The Artist’s magazines.

Room Art and Public Space Art are among the many commercial interior design projects that she has completed. Clients include Ramada Inn, Quality Inn, Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Best Western, and the Coral and Island Princess Cruise Ships.

In 2011 she moved back to the Midwest and opened her studio in Stillwater, MN. Classes are taught weekly in Beginning Painting, Any level Painting, Drawing, and Color Theory.

Sharon is a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance, Sonoran Arts League, and the Scottsdale Artists League. She is represented by Rogoway Gallery in Tubac, AZ.
